The eyes have it9/17/2007 ShareBoy it sure is hard to find spare time to update this blog! I'm doing my best to catch up this week because school photos start next week and then life is really a blur for a while as I speed into my Fall color sessions and then right into holiday sessions. Anyways, here's my last entry from my Alaska sessions. I just love those sessions - such great kids and such great scenery. Here's some of my favorite eye contact images from the lot.
And I had to save this one for last. What eyes. Those are not photoshopped - they really are that big! Such a cutie…

Alaskan Scenery8/23/2007 ShareMy friends and family have been begging to see some pictures of Alaska. Well… ahem… I must confess to a little flaw in my personality. I can't really take a photo unless there's a child in the picture. Really. I can force myself to do it but it's tough. So I ended up with about 4 pictures of Kodiak scenery and 1000 of Kodiak kids. So what I'll do is show you some of my kid images that show off the Alaskan beauty in the backgrounds. The "sand" at the beaches of Kodiak consists of small rounded black pebbles. And then there are lots of larger rounded boulders and cliffs. Just spectacular. Here's a picture of the little pebbles.
Most of my outdoor sessions were on beaches. So here's some images of those beautiful seashores.
I am so glad I that I did have at least one foggy session. So mystical!

I'm back from Alaska!8/20/2007 ShareIt's been an incredible couple weeks...starting with my 10 year anniversary, a week long portrait trip to Alaska, my daughter's 8th birthday today and my son's first day of Kindergarten in two days. Whew! Alaska is just spectacular and the people are wonderfully warm and friendly. I couldn't ask for a better location for portrait photography. I had 10 sessions in 5 days so I'm working hard to proof all those sessions. I plan to have some sample pictures up soon in my blog. For my Alaskan clients - I hope to have your online galleries up by early next week. Add or View Comments(0) | |
The new combo session8/6/2007 ShareThese returning clients chose my new combo session for their recent session. The first half of a combo session is outside at a large Open Space Park which is an easy walk from my studio. The second half takes place inside my studio. This brother and sister did great throughout the whole session. They especially enjoyed a rousing game of hide and seek in the woods.

Lights, Camera, Action!7/11/2007 ShareOne of my trademarks around here is my action shots. I love to put them together in a storyboard to create action panoramas showing the kids in action. Recently four cousins came to me for some action shots and we had a blast dancing to the music and jumping on the mattress. It's a good workout for me too! Here's some of the resulting storyboards.
