I have a feeling that this Daddy is going to like his Christmas present this year. But shhhhh don't tell him! These boys had a nice long session laughing, dancing and jumping their way through it. I had a ton of fun playing with them!

Old friends

It was very fun for me to photograph this family since the dad and I were in graduate school together 15 years ago! Back then we were both interested in careers in groundwater hydrology. But funny enough, we have both seen the light and are now professional photographers! I loved getting to know his two sweet daughters.

New home!

I love photographing these three girls. You'll find their annual session images throughout my website. This year they have a new place to call home so we did their holiday session on location at their new digs. Although it was chilly, they did great!

Deep snow

11/5/2009

Share

In typical Colorado fashion, we had a deep 3 foot snowstorm (in October!) and a couple days later it was blue skies and sunshine. The perfect weather combined with the willingness of this family to have some fun made for the perfect session. I had them walking through deep gullies of snow and they were laughing the whole way. And we also went into the studio for some nice black backdrop shots.

I loved photographing this family because they're all so easy going and relaxed. This was another session from my weekend of mini-sessions.

These two kids had a lot of happy energy so they had some fun jumping around the studio. It was a pleasure to photograph this family again.

This little 18 month old cutie came in during my mini-session weekend last weekend and I just about melted when I looked into his eyes. Such a little sweetheart…

Lingering Fall Colors

10/19/2009

Share

Any Colorado residents out there know that the Fall colors season has been very unusual this season. 15 degree temps and a couple snow falls have definitely dampened the colors. Since all the good leaves were prematurely gone, I went searching for a new morning location for this session and stumbled across this gem! The grass colors were gorgeous and there were still some tint of yellow to the trees and bushes, all right next to a beautiful stream and rock walls.

I always enjoy this returning family. Some of my favorite newborn pictures feature their sons. Their three boys had a great time enjoying some unusually warm weather!

October smiles and shivers

Man oh man it's been a cold October! This family came prepared with winter coats, hats and hot chocolate and it's a good thing they did. It was cold and frosty! This was my third pair of twins this fall and they did a great job of dealing with the cold - Colorado kids!

A model returns

10/8/2009

I've known the oldest one of these three kids for a long time! When she was a baby, she was one of my first models as I practiced various studio techniques and window lighting. So it was very fun for me to photograph her again and now her sister and brother! Another great session with beautiful lighting and happy kids.

Leaves, leaves, leaves!

I just love pictures of kids throwing leaves in the air, so I was psyched to find piles of aspen leaves just waiting to be displaced in this session. These kids were a true joy to photograph, giggling and bouncing through the whole session.

I just love these twins. Their mom has been one of my dearest friends for 33 years. So when I look at them I can easily see my childhood friend within. I was very happy to have them in my studio!

Conifer High School Senior

Not many high school seniors get snow in the backgrounds of their senior portraits! We were able to get in some good outdoor shots before a sleet/snow storm moved us into the studio. This young man was a pleasure to photograph - very easy going!
