Exhibit of cancer survivors3/12/2010 ShareI would like to put together an exhibit of cancer survivors. At this time, I'm thinking black & white headshots perhaps with dramatic lighting - something to speak to the soul. I would like for the exhibit to show at the Evergreen library and perhaps other locations. Please send me names of cancer survivors so I can contact them about being in the exhibit. No cost to them of course. Add or View Comments(0)
A new family member!3/5/2010 ShareThis family comes for a session every winter and this year they brought along a new family member and she sure is a cutie! I always enjoy their sessions.

Facebook Portrait party!2/18/2010 ShareAnnouncing the first annual Kids Being Kids Portraits FACEBOOK party on Friday March 12 between 6 and 9 pm! Here’s your chance to have some great profile pictures for your Facebook account. They can be classy, goofy, fun, happy, solemn, cool, dramatic lighting – whatever you want! Here’s how it works: For $20 (can be shared with up to 2 friends!), you come into my portrait studio for a short session. My studio is located in South Evergreen near Conifer. You’ll choose your favorite three pictures and I’ll put them on the Kids Being Kids Portraits Facebook page. You can then tag them and they will automatically appear in your Facebook photo album. From there you can make any of them your profile picture! I can help you with that if you like. If you’re interested, please contact me so I know you’re coming. Add or View Comments(0)
A new website!2/9/2010 ShareI have a new website! I designed and developed it myself so I've been burning the midnight oil to get it ready to launch. I'm so excited to have a brand new look and a completely updated portfolio! Take a look around it and send any comments my way. Thanks! Add or View Comments(0)
9 year old boy2/7/2010 ShareThis 9 year old boy really has style and it was a ton of fun photographing him. He's the youngest in a huge family and my observation (as a portrait photographer) of large families having nice well mannered kids continues to be right on.

My new display1/22/2010 ShareThis is the time of year where I like to put some extra effort into the business end of things. So today I was very excited to update my display in the Buchanan Recreation Center in North Evergreen. I've got 9 of the prints up and the other 5 will be up soon (need some new holes in the wall). It's in the basement near the dressing rooms so please check it out next time you're there. My website is next and I'm planning a completely new design this year.

Mountain Connection contest1/15/2010 ShareI just have learned that I won second place in the Kids and Family division of the Best of Evergreen/Conifer contest in the Mountain Connection Newspaper. I'm thrilled - thank you so much for your votes! I was only 3 votes short of 1st place so I'll try a little harder to get the word out next year. Thanks again!!! :-) Add or View Comments(0)
The Colorado Heart Gallery1/4/2010 ShareOne of my favorite ways to give back to the community is through the Colorado Heart Gallery (exhibit which features children of Colorado who have been waiting longest for an adoptive family). This year I was given three children to photograph. The first was adopted before I could photograph her (you rule Dawn!!), ...the second is featured here, and the third, shown here, has been adopted since I photographed him. I urge everyone to view their pages and the others up for adoption. Send them on to families and friends because somewhere out there there is a home for each and every one of these beautiful children. Add or View Comments(0)
Happy New Year!1/3/2010 ShareI am so excited about plans I have for Kids Being Kids Portraits in 2010! I will be creating some new studio lighting capabilities, scheduling more events, adding new incentives, updating a major display and hopefully doing some more traveling on portrait trips. Bring the new year on! Add or View Comments(0)
Last holiday session1/1/2010 ShareThis Mom works very hard every holiday season and her kids' late session always signifies the end of my holiday portrait season. This year her kids wanted the family pets on their holiday card. Cute!

Thankful family #21/1/2010 ShareHere's some pictures from my second family reunion session over Thanksgiving. This family lucked out with some warmish temperatures for the outside portion of their session. I thoroughly enjoyed photographing these four generations and was particularly impressed with Great Grandma happily trudging through the mud and snow to get to the good light.
This picture really cracks me up. Guess which of these cousins is going to be the actress!

Thankful families1/1/2010 ShareI love sessions of family reunions during Thanksgiving. You can just feel the happiness among them while they consider how thankful they are for their families. This year I was fortunate to have two family reunion sessions over Thanksgiving. Here's some pictures from the first family.
